The Ashfield Homes board

 

Board membership

 

Ashfield Homes is managed by a board of non-executive directors, which is made up of the following:

 

Tenant representatives

 

Four Tenant Representatives, one to represent each of the main areas of Ashfield, namely Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Hucknall and the rural areas comprising Selston, Underwood and Jacksdale. Tenant representatives are elected to the Board through an election process.  

 

Independent members

 

Four Independent Members, who have a local connection to Ashfield, skills or expertise within Local Government or the private sector at a senior level in any of the following areas: business management, finance, legal, human resources and/or training, housing management, building and contracting, public relations, marketing, community work. Independent Members are recruited via advertising in the local press and on this website.

 

Council representatives

 

Four Council Representatives nominated by Ashfield District Council, one to represent each of the main areas of Ashfield, namely Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Hucknall and the rural areas comprising Selston, Underwood and Jacksdale. Council Representatives are nominated annually at the Council’s Annual General Meeting.

 

The role of Board Member is undertaken on a voluntary basis, although out of pocket expenses are paid. Membership on the Board presents a significant opportunity to serve the local community, and to contribute to the regeneration of Ashfield.

 

Senior Management Team

 

The day to day running of the Company is delegated to a Senior Management Team headed by a Chief Executive. Membership of the Senior Management Team includes the Chief Executive, the Director of Operations, the Company Accountant, the Company Solicitor and Secretary, the Assistant Director of Housing Services, the Assistant Director of Technical Services, and the Human Resources and Development Manager.
