Mrs Jessie Parker - Vice Chair of Board

I was born and educated at Stanton Hill and worked in the hosiery trade until I started my own retail outsize clothing business in Sutton in 1980, retiring in 2000. I am married with two daughters and one grandchild and have lived in Sutton-in-Ashfield all my life, where I have been a Primary School Governor for over twenty years. I have recently served as a councillor on Ashfield District Council for four

years and take a keen interest in local politics.

cllr bulmer
Councillor Malcolm Bulmer represents the Sutton Central Ward as well as being a Board Member of Ashfield Homes since May 2009.

I have been a resident of Hucknall for most of my life and for the last 20 years a Councillor representing the people of that area.  I am at present Deputy Leader of Ashfield District Council with special responsibility for Community and Economic Development and Community Safety and Leisure activities.

I have lived in Hucknall all my life.  I am a well known person, I first started work at the Co-op from leaving school, then moved to Fine Fare where I spent 25 years, then to Nottinghamshire County Council until I retired.  I am a married man with a son and daughter who both live in Hucknall.  My hobbies are owning an old sports car and playing snooker.

Mr Martin Smith

I am 46 years old, I have 2 daughters Sian 12 and Abigail 15 In my spare time I play Squash, Badminton, like getting lost in the wild peak and I also like to travel.  I currently work as a Distribution Centre Manager for a medical supplies company called Homecraft based in Huthwaite, I enjoy my work, we ship our orders all over the globe, our biggest customers are Japan, Australia and Ireland, in the past I have worked in projects and purchasing management in the UK and South America. When I saw the position of the Independent Board Member advertised I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to get involved in my local area and hopefully use my skills and knowledge on the board, it is also a chance for me to learn more about another field and develop my skills further.

My name is Mike Hardy, I am retired and a tenant in Hucknall where I live with my second wife Barbara. I have an adopted family of one daughter, two sons, eight grandchildren and nine grandchildren. I enjoy Formula 1 motor-racing and computers. I would like the opportunity to get more involved in the local community, I have the time and the commitment to represent the tenants of Hucknall, I consider myself to be an excellent team player able to objectively assess situations and to contribute to the decision making process. I don’t possess any "professional" skills, I’m just an ordinary bloke that’s worked all his life and would now like to put a little something back and develop the necessary skills to serve the best interests of Ashfield Homes, Ashfield tenants, leaseholders and wider community.
