Trailblazer scheme - image of sheltered scheme in Ashfield

Ashfield Homes, in partnership with Ashfield School in Kirkby have developed a brand new service to engage young people in environmental improvement and gardening work across the District.

 

The Trailblazer project aims to help young people take a pride in, and feel part of their communities and to address generational barriers.

 

Young people from the school, together with school staff and officers from Ashfield Homes have been visiting sheltered schemes and open areas across the District to clean up green areas, undertake planting of plants and bulbs, carry out path clearance, litter-picking and general tidying-up.

 

If you would like to welcome the young people into an area near you, or you have some ideas for places around the Ashfield District that are in need of a little work, then please contact our Tenant Participation Officer on the details below:
