Domestic violence often refers to violence between spouses, or spousal abuse but can also include cohabitants and non-married intimate partners. Domestic violence occurs in all cultures; people of all races, ethnicities, religions, sexes and classes. Domestic violence is perpetrated by both men and women. Domestic violence can be in the forms of psychological, emotional, physical, sexual or financial abuse.
How we can help
Ending the abuse and accessing services is difficult, both practically and emotionally. We understand the stress faced by victims of domestic violence. Ashfield Homes has Tenancy Support Officers who have undertaken specialised training to enable them to effectively support survivors of domestic violence or people currently in an abusive relationship. If you would like to discuss how we can help you please contact the Tenancy Support Team on 01623 608982.
