Right to Buy

Picture of houses - Right to Buy your council home

If you are a Secure tenant of Ashfield District Council, you may have the Right to Buy your home.

If your tenancy is demoted due to anti-social behaviour, you will lose your right to buy until your tenancy becomes secure again (usually after a period of 12 months).

If you are a Secure tenant and are responsible for anti-social behaviour, we may seek a Court Order to remove your right to buy for a period of time.

The Right to Buy Scheme is administered by Ashfield District Council who will be able to give you more information on whether you are eligible to buy your home.
